I’m Megan Lee Katauskas, I’m a 25 years old, and I live in Orlando, FL with my husband Matthew. He’s an animal lover, a cancer survivor, and quite the sweetheart (he regularly does all the laundry and dishes for me after getting home from work – now that’s love!). We were married in my parents backyard Feb. 23, 2008, honeymooned in Asheville, NC, and now spend our days watching dvd’s (especially Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or any comic book/super hero/Disney film), playing scrabble, and cracking jokes about Paula Dean and her love of the deep fryer.

I love to do many different things but have failed to master focusing on just one subject.

- I’m a self taught photographer and I take my camera every where I go. I’ve come a long way from my first photography attempts but I still have a LOT to learn.

- I’m a painter (acrylics and watercolors) and I’ve sold 100+ original paintings that are now scattered throughout the world. I still make original works, re-paintings of previously sold work, as well as commissions, so if you’re ever interested in a piece just shoot me an email.

- I’m a cook and baker. I think about food and recipes about 80% of the day. I go to bed looking forward to a cup of coffee, think about dinner while I’m eating lunch, and I dream about the next days menu every evening. Food is just pure fun :)

- I’m a nerd. I love sci-fi, word games, brainiacs, and collectors of random facts. I also love to share my love of smarty-pants things and that’s one of the reasons I designed the Rock Star Scientist Posters.



I try to split my time between interests. Some days are ruled by photography, some days I cook, other times I work on acrylic paintings or edit and design in Photoshop. Occasionally I’ll do it all in one afternoon, but there are also days when I lose steam, make some green tea, and glaze over in front of the Food Network.
